The time is now!
Before they disappear, stash away your kids' M&Ms, Smarties, Skittles and other small candies, for use in this fun, DIY Christmas Advent Calendar!

I've already grabbed cups at the dollar store & looking forward to making this year's!
(I think we might make one calendar for each girl this time since I thought ahead enough to set the right candies aside from Hallowe'en ;)

Here's another advent idea that focuses on the Christmas story.
These look amazing! Once my little man is old enough, I'll definitely be doing this. Thank you for sharing! :)

What a smart idea, we don't trick or treat (my son is only 1) but it's such a great way to spread the sugar rush! #mondayfunday
ReplyDeleteI love this - we usually use a tree that you hand mini ornaments on, but this might change it up a bit!! Pinning it! #ibabloggers
ReplyDeleteI love this idea, but we may cheat on ours. I bought a 10-pack of small rectangular containers with liffrom the dollar store last year. They are the perfect size for this, so hopefully they still carry them. It would save the gluing and enable us to re-use the calendar next year (though admittedly poking through the tissue does seem like more fun). Instead of placing the name in each cup, we could place a scripture reading to read together in order to keep the focus on the reason for Advent. My kids brought home the mother lode of Halloween candy this year and we still have TONS left, so this is the perfect activity. They are going to love it...thanks!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant idea! I may be 25 but I still love a good advent calender :) #ibabloggers
