I had to share this adorable pink and gray baby girl nursery with you!
Today I want to share those photos with you and a bit about how she created some of the pieces in the room (or where she found them).
Pink & Gray Baby Girl Nursery
Lamp: Rona
Crib Skirt: Homemade by Amber (my sister) & my Mom
Bow: homemade by my Mom
Pink and Gray Baby Girl Nursery |
Dresser, Crib: IKEA
Crystal Knobs: Ebay
Mirror: Burlington Coat Factory
Rug: Homesense
Name Frames
Frames were from IKEA. Glass was removed, scrapbook paper applied for the background. Wooden letters came from Michaels and were painted with the same colour as the walls and then a coat of sparkly paint. Letters were glued (with a glue gun) to the frames.
Chandelier
Purchased from IKEA. Amber took it apart and painted it then reassembled the crystal part. (Tip: It was time consuming to try to remember how to put it back together again, so if you try this, take note of how it all fits together before you take it apart!)
Shelf: Homesense (Amber painted it)
Dress: Amber's baby blessing dress
Elephant Pictures: Etsy (not sure name of shop)
Bunny on Wheels: Chapters
Shelves & Square Baskets: Target
Basket & Hamper: Homesense
Curtains: Walmart
Curtain Rod: Home Goods (in the U.S.)
Bench: IKEA
(Since these photos were taken, Amber has made a cushion for the bench. You can find a great tutorial on how to make a bench cushion here :)
Height Chart
She used a piece of wood (Pine, 1x6" and 6' tall), which she got from Lowes. She painted it white and used stencils from Staples to paint the pink numbers on. Next, nail it to the wall, 6" up from the ground. She measured to mark the lines with a Sharpie permanent marker, and adds the dates with Sharpie.

What a gorgeous nursery! Surely fit for a princess!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a lot of heart and soul went into that nursery, so precious and so beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis is the cutest most adorable baby girl nursery I have seen in a long time. It made me wish so badly for another girl. I am secretly hoping that if we get pregnant again (we are trying) that it will be a girl. I am happy with either but I have one girl who is almost 11 and 3 boys, a little more pink won't hurt any of us
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! I love the bow on the crib!
ReplyDeleteHI Heather,
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing this. love all the ideas. definitely a cute room.
Do you know what paint and color the walls are? I love the gray!
The colour is Granite Grey by CIL :)
DeleteBeautiful room how did u make the bow around the.crib?
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE this nursery! I am definitely planning on copying some of these ideas for my baby girl's room! Do you happen to know the color of the pink paint that was used to paint the shelf from Homesense?
ReplyDeleteI want to know what your mom used to make the bow and how she did it?! I am obsessed with it but can't find anything on how to make one! Thanks
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda, I will ask my mom for details. This was made around 2 years ago, so hopefully she will remember. I'll let you know what I find out!
DeleteHi Again :) She said that velcro was used to keep the bow up once it was tied. She had to look at the picture to try and remember how they did it, but she thinks they attached velcro to the crib bumper. The rest of it was tied onto the bars of the crib and woven in and out.
DeleteI am in love with the bow on the crib, what did she use and how did she make it?

DeleteHi Again :) You could use any silky fabric or whatever fabric you like. She said that velcro was used to keep the bow up once it was tied. She had to look at the picture to try and remember how they did it, but she thinks they attached velcro to the crib bumper. The rest of it was tied onto the bars of the crib and woven in and out.
