I've been trying out the new Polaroid Lab from Best Buy and it is a game changer!
Here's how the Polaroid Lab takes your digital images and transforms them into a printed photo:
This is not a basic printer or scanner, it's actually a mini photo lab that uses a photochemical process to give you an exposed instant print of images from your phone!
Here's What You'll Need to Use the Polaroid Lab:
A Phone
The Polaroid Lab works with the iPhone 6, 6s, 7, 8, X, Xs and newer, as well as most Android Smartphones.
An App
Download the Polaroid Originals app (download it from the App Store or Google Play Store). It's compatible with iOS 11+ and Android 5+.
Some Film
The Polaroid Lab works with both i-Type and 600 film in color, black & white, and special editions.
How To Use The Polaroid Lab
Before you use the Lab you'll need to load it with film. Then open the app on your phone, select the Polaroid Lab, and choose a photo. Lay your phone screen-down on the lab, press the red button, and your photo will print!
The app even has some extra settings that allow you to do some fancy things with your prints, like divide the photo up into several separate prints that make up a complete photo when arranged in a grid.
Quality of Prints from The Polaroid Lab
The photos you print will have that authentic Polaroid print look. You can see that chemicals were used in the making of your print because it doesn't have that "perfect" look that comes with a digital print. Colors will not be just like the colors you see on your phone screen. If you love the quirky, unpredictable charm of an authentic developed photo print, you're going to love the Polaroid Lab!
