I'm excited to announce my 4th annual Holiday Gift Guide Giveaway! This year's gift guide is split into two posts. Today I'll be featuring gift ideas for parents & families. Soon I'll share gift ideas for kids & stocking stuffers.
I'll share a bit about each gift idea and at the end of the post you'll have the chance to enter a giveaway for ALL the gift ideas in that day's post! Between the 2 gift guide giveaways, I've partnered with each of the brands and will be giving away over $1800 CAD in prizes and I can't wait to see who the winners are!
Gift Ideas for Parents
Spa Products
If a trip to the spa isn't in your gift budget, you can still give the gift of pampering by giving spa products! I treasure the memories I have of visiting Ste. Anne's Spa! You can order spa products from their own Skin Nourishment line to create a relaxing, rejuvenating escape right in your own home. I'm trying some products from their newer CBD Care line right now including their Rescue Muscle Salve, both the Rest and the Revive Aromatherapy Oil, and the Relax Massage Oil. You can enter to win your own set of these products as well as their "Take Me Back" Eucalyptus Shower Mist that smells just like the steam room at the spa!
Healthy Meal Delivery Service
The gift of not having to ask yourself "What will I make for dinner tonight?"... I know I'm not the only parent who wants nourishing, home cooked meals but gets tired of planning and shopping for ingredients! On top of the convenience of using the LiveFit Foods' delivery service, they will even cater to your diet goals, with packages for vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, muscle-gain, weight loss, keto, etc. I think you'll be able to find what you're looking for! We tried it recently and were impressed with the variety of options available and the big portion sizes! This would be a great gift for yourself, your spouse, or a friend you know is overwhelmed with the busyness of the season. The winner of this year's giveaway will get to try a box of LiveFit foods for themselves!
HappySelf Journal
2020 presented us with a pandemic which forced us inside, away from other people, and onto screens more frequently. There is so much good that has come from the time spent with family, but many of the changes can affect our mental health negatively. The Happy Self Journal is like a cross between a gratitude journal and a planner, with space to plan your week ahead and take note each day of how you're doing. It's based on scientifically proven methods that promote happiness and develop positive habits and mindset and only takes a few minutes a day! The Junior version of the journal is featured in the Kids section of this year's gift guide and the winner of that giveaway will get to choose a journal of their choice from HappySelf!
Scented Candles
Our family travelled to Eastern Canada a few summers ago and we loved it so much that we often talk about returning to visit or even moving there someday because we liked it so much! When I discovered New Scotland Candle Co., I loved the idea of their Nova Scotia Collection of products with scents inspired by the places, industries and experiences of the province- I love the way a scent can take you back to a place in your mind! If there was ever a year when we might need to travel in our minds, 2020 is it! With their Herbs & Botanicals Collection and Limited Edition scents, you can find just the candle, wax melt or room spray for anyone on your list. I am obsessed with the Lemongrass botanical candle and I cannot wait to light Clove Pomander for the holidays. Maybe I'll save one or two items for a gift, too. You can enter to win some products from New Scotland Candle Co. at the end of this post- enjoy them yourself or gift them to someone lucky on your list!
Ticket Chocolate
Years ago I received a box of Ticket Chocolate in the mail from someone and I fell in love. The chocolate was delicious and I loved dipping the chocolate-on-a-stick into steaming milk to create a delicious, gourmet drink! The flavours are so good that I sometimes just eat the chocolate straight from the stick! They also offer some unique chocolate bar flavours like Salted Classic Milk Chocolate, Mom's Apple Pie, and Grasshopper Pie. My favourite thing about their cute little S'mores kits are the incredibly soft, handmade marshmallows! A package of items from Ticket Chocolate would be a fabulous gift for just about any parent on your list.
Adjustable Pillows
We spend 1/3 of our lives sleeping and often sacrifice some of that time to taking care of our kids! So what could be better than the gift of a good night's sleep?! I love the concept of an adjustable pillow so you can give someone a pillow as a gift and know that they'll be able to adjust it to the height they want! Even better than a great pillow would be the right mattress, so don't miss my comparison review of several mattresses (just posted earlier this week!) where I'll link you to the secret to finding the right mattress for you and your needs! The winner of the gift guide giveaway will win 2 pillows from GoodMorning.com, to get them started on the path to a great night's sleep!
Camera Bag/Purse
I have several blog posts about Jo Totes Camera Bags because I've tried several of them and I love them for everything from camera bag to "mom bag", "church bag" and "travel bag"! This would make a fabulous gift for any Mom (or woman for that matter), whether a photographer or not! At the end of this post you'll have the chance to win a $100 USD gift card to put toward a camera bag of your choice (this could completely cover the cost of the bag, or most of the cost, depending on your choice).
Beard Care Products
When we started self-isolating in March, my husband stopped shaving and started experimenting with wearing a beard! In June, we shared details of his experience trying a bunch of beard products in a blog post and video. Since then, he shaved the beard once but grew it back again and has decided on his preferred beard length. The "isolation beard" is going strong again! Now that I know which products he likes the best, I'm excited to give him The "Dad" Bundle from Urban Beard! The winner of this year's gift guide giveaway will win their own "Dad" Bundle, so stay tuned 'til the end to enter!
ALSO!! You can use the code RAISINGMEMORIES20 for 20% off between now and Christmas day!
(It's available to use site wide and free shipping will still apply, but you can't stack it with any other codes or apply it to subscription products.)
Family Gift Ideas
Poputar
I've always loved hearing my kids and husband play music in our home. Ken plays the piano, violin, and the ukulele. Talia plays the piano, clarinet, and both girls like to play the Ukulele. Talia used to have a guitar but lost it in the smoke incident. We've truly loved our Populele (a Ukulele that syncs up by Bluetooth with an app that teaches you to play), and were so excited to partner with Popuband again this year to share with you their new Poputar! Just like the Populele, it syncs with an app that has lessons, games, exercises, and songs for you to learn! The Poputar has little lights that show you where to put your fingers when you're learning chords or new songs. I'm excited to tell you that you'll have the chance to win a Poputar in the giveaway at the end of this post!
Colossal Cookie Co.
We're all keeping more of a distance than usual this year! If you can't get to your friends & family in person, don't worry- Colossal Cookie Co. has you covered! Their website says it best, "For us, it's about connecting through gifting, regardless of how far you are from your loved ones." You can send a box of their creative, decadent cookies to anyone across Canada and they can be warmed up in the oven (or microwave) for a delicious treat! I put these in the family category of the gift guide because we ended up having a family cookie-tasting party when these arrived! If these creative cookies have caught your eye, be sure to stay 'til the end of this post for your chance to win a box of your own to taste test!
Monopoly Electronic Banking
My kids' favourite game to play at my parents' house is an old version of Mall Madness. Their favourite part? The credit cards! Knowing how much they also love Monopoly, I knew the new Monopoly Electronic Banking board game would be a hit in our family! What's that? Monopoly without the coloured money??! Yep! I can't wait to give this one a try! (You'll get a chance to win your own copy of the game by entering the giveaway at the end of this post!)
Win the Gift Guide Giveaway!
Here's your chance to enter to win all the prizes listed in this post! Just fill out the form below to enter (there are some optional entries- the more you do, the better your chances of winning!)
Contest is open to USA & Canada but a couple of items can only be sent to addresses in one country or the other. A second winner will be drawn to receive the prizes that cannot be sent to the first winner. Void where prohibited. Giveaway is open for more entries until the end of November.
PLEASE NOTE: I will contact the winner of the giveaway in December. I will contact them through email and I will not ask the winner to fill out a form. If you receive a DM through Facebook or Instagram from someone claiming that you have won a prize from my blog and asking you to fill out a form, you can be sure that that is NOT from me!
Disclosure: All products included in this guide were chosen by me. Feature & Giveaway products have been provided by the companies listed, to facilitate this post & giveaway.
